About the Author
Dr. W. Kim Halford is Professor of Clinical Psychology at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia, a position he has held since 2009. From 1995 to 2008 he was Professor of Clinical Psychology at Griffith University, which is also in Brisbane, Australia. He still holds an Honorary Professorship at Griffith University. Before that Kim held a conjoint position as Chief Psychologist at the Royal Brisbane Hospital and Reader in Clinical Psychology at the University of Queensland. Kim completed a PhD in clinical psychology at La Trobe University in 1979, and is a registered psychologist in Australia, with specialist endorsement as a clinical psychologist. Kim has been active in research and practice of relationship education and couple therapy for 30 years, and is an internationally known expert on couple relationships. He has held visiting Professorial appointments at the University of Oregon and University of North Carolina in the United States; the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom; the Chinese University of Hong Kong in Hong Kong, China; the University of Zurich in Switzerland; and the University of Tilburg in the Netherlands. Kim has written seven books and over 180 research articles, most of which are on couple relationships. He maintains an active psychological practice working with couples.Table of Contents
